Jugal Himal is a small region in the west of Rolwaling Himal and south east of Langtang Himal. The main peak are Lenpo Gang or big white peak(6979m), Dorje Lakpa(6986m) and Ganchempo(6387m).
This is the most easily accessible of all areas from Kathmandu. It lies about 70k.m north of Kathmandu. valley, it is an area inhabited by sherpas, Tamags and Chetrries. The language , culture and dress of the Helambu sherpas are very different from those who live in Solu khumbu and Rollwaling area and it is famous place for arts( Thanka).
Flora and Fauna
The forests of Helambhu region and Langtang area prime example of temperate and sub alpine vegetation. The dense oak and pine forests on the trail of particular interest. As usual , the rhododendrons from a spectacular display during the spring.
People and culture
The people here, are of Tibetan origin and call themselves sherpa although they are quite distinct from the sherpas of Everest region both in language and customs. Many Tamang people also inhabit this area, Tamangs are also orginated in Tibet but settled in Nepal considerably earlier than Sherpas.

Day 04: Chisopani to Gulbhanjang(2142m)
Day 05: Gul Bhanjang to Tharepati(3597m)
Day 06: Tharepati to Melamchigaon(2560m)
Day 07: Melamchigaon to Tarkheghang(2560m)
Day 08: Tarkeghang to Yangri peak
Day 09: Rest day and explore
Day 10: Yangri peak to Shermaththang
Day 11: Shermathung to Melamchi Bazar
Day 12: Free day in Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu. to Chisopani(2150m)
Bus ride will take one hour to reach Sundarijal. trail goes uphill through forest to reach to Mul Kharka village. From here enjoy an extraordinary panoramic views of Kathmandu. valley. The trail goes through fir tree forest and rhododendrons.
Day 04: Chisopani to Gulbhanjang(2142m)
Trail goes down hill till Pati Bhanjang . after here you have to ascent all the way to Chipling by crossing meadows and fields. There are good mountain views along this stretch of trail. Continuing along the forested ridge, the trail descends to a large Chorten over looking the Tamang village of Gul Bhanjang.
Day 05: Gul Bhanjang to Tharepati(3597m)
The trail climbs the ridge from Gul Bhanjang to another pass at 2580m. it climbs above Kutumsang on a steep, eroded trail, mostly through fir and rhododendrons with out permanent settlement . the trail makes some ups and downs passing through forest, across flower-strewn meadows and crossing streams. It finally reaches to Tharepati.
Day 06: Tharepati to Melamchigaon(2560m)
Walking down hill in a forest , vegetation changes to scrub bamboo as the route joins a rocky cattle trail towards to stream and traverse to a Chorten and a pasture, the first village since Tharepati. After crossing suspension bridge in Chhyadi Khola climb to reach the prosperous sherpa village of Melamchigaon. It is a large village with extensive fields of barley, corn and potatoes.
Day 07: Melamchigaon to Tarkheghang(2560m)
Trail drops down to cross Melamchi Khola . than climb all the way to opposite ridge of Tarkhegang which is exactly same altitude. This village is slightly larger and more commercial and its inhabitants are famous for selling Thangkas .
Day 08: Tarkeghang to Yangri peak
Trail ascent through fields and forested area to Kharka. Yangri peak will look very close and Dorje Lakpa stands big to its right. Pass the kharka, ascend steep on a rocky path to the summit with the huge white chorten.
Day 09: Rest day and explore
Day 10: Yangri peak to Shermaththang
Trail descend through forest and pass the village of Gangjwal. When a large valley stretches ahead , there is a shermathung.
Day 11: Shermathung to Melamchi Bazar
The path becomes gentle ascent and it leads to colorfully painted Chorten.
Pass the village of Kakani and Kaphaigairi village , enter to the forest of pine to reach to melamchi bazaar. Take a bus back to Kathmandu.
Day 12: Free day in Kathmandu.
